I got some machine quilting done -- yeah! This is my sister's quilt. I love the colors and the pattern she used. It was really a fun one to quilt. There were 99 flowers by the time I was done.
I think the back is such a cute piece of fabric. Tracy did a wonderful job piecing this one together. It's definitely one of my favorites!
And then time for a little playing around. Gary, Jaycee, and I went 4-wheeling today. It was a blast. Jaycee had a little too much fun in the puddles -- and so did I. When we were almost back to the truck I saw a big mud puddle in the middle of the road. I thought, what the heck, and hit the gas. Muddy water shot up everywhere and all over me. Jaycee was behind me and did the same thing. We all got a good laugh out of it.
This Jaycee and her muddy machine.
The last of the spring runoff is still coming down. The water was fast and high still, but sounded so cool.
This is where we usually cross the river to go up to the reservoir. Gary was going to try and cross but it was too deep. He's showing us how deep it is in the middle.
It was a relaxing ride. I kept breathing deep, loving the smell of pine, leaves, water, and dirt (never knew dirt could smell good!).
Dead, thank goodness!

Holy cow! How long did all those flowers take. You are so talented!
Great quilting but, oh my, what a lot of flowers.
I'm still freaking out about the snake, even if it is dead. That quilt is BEAUTIFUL!
I'm so glad you got away. You needed the break and it looked fun! The quilt is beautiful - especially in real life.
Beautiful Quilts! It makes me realize that I justt pretend to be a quilter. I buy a ton of fabric, Ihave a plenty of cute patterns, but that is as far as it gets. Actually, I have a bow tie top almost put together. Set it aside for some event and haven't gotten back to it. I think that was last summer.
You need to come out and give me a recharge!
Your sister's quilt is great! Did you free motion the flowers?
Your day of fun sounds like an awesome time! Good thing the snake was dead! Yick!
