Doctors and tissues and antibiotics. . .oh my!

My 14-year-old (Jaycee) has been sick for over a week. She started last Monday night with the sniffles and just did not get better. We went to the Urgent Care which was a waste of time and money. She was still so bad on Sunday that I took her the emergency room. Finally some help! She has a nasty, bad sinus infection. Yesterday she felt good enough to get out of bed and go to summer school. Today she's back to normal - thank goodness! I was worried with her having the fever and chills for 5-6 days that she might have something bad - like the Swine Flu. How would I explain that to all the people who were in my house for the baby shower on Saturday??? They tested her for influenza A and B, which were negative. . . whew! No one else has gotten sick either (knock on wood).

I bought this pattern at the quilt store. It's a diaper/wipe case with a changing pad from "All My Bags & Quilts Too." I couldn't get the web site to work to give the link. They sew up really quick.
I was amazed at how tiny the newborn diapers are. How quickly you forget that they start out so small. My favorite feature is how the changing pad is separate from the bag so you can toss it in the washer (I didn't forget how messy babies can be!).
It's been kind of fun to whip up a few of these - a little break from quilting.

Poor Jaycee. I hope she feels better soon! (And glad it was not H1N1 - Swine Flu...)
