I. Can’t. Resist.

DSCN3800
I saw this butterfly quilt over at Nedra’s blog and she posted it on Stash Manicure.  I’ve been resisting doing it.  Waiting for a time when my other UFOs were under control. Well....I just couldn't wait any longer.  I had to give it a try tonight.DSCN3798I wanted to try different colors down the middle for the body to see what it would look like.  I think I like it…and it uses up some of my smaller scraps.  I’m so in love with the look of this quilt that I might get up in the middle of the night to work on more blocks.  Seriously...if I toss and turn again tonight you can bet I'll end up at the sewing machine.

It sure makes a mess, though!  And I must admit that I’m a messy piecer when I quilt.  I cut and throw to the floor.  I figure it’s much easier to get the blocks made and then clean up the mess when I’m done.

Happy butterflies! Did you see that today I have a finish? I think this was a really fun quilt to make.

Your butterflies look great Carrie! I look forward to seeing more of your toss and turn night time creation!!! 8-)
I guess I must be a tidy quilter as all my cutoffs end up in the garbage right away, or in a pile on my cutting table to be pushed into the garbage when they are taking over the table... if I threw them on the floor, I know my dogs would carry them throughout the house... lol!
Happy stitchings, and I do hope you get some sleep! 8-)
