Hexagon quilt

This is the project I talked about in a previous post. I am having a hard time squeezing in time to work on it. I am so tempted to stay up late and work on it. I have all the strips paired up and sewn together, so now I just have to cut out the triangles and sew them together. I have piles of them on my sewing cabinet screaming for attention.
Have you been following the Olympics? We have been glued to the TV at night. I'm still bugged about the true ages of the Chinese gymnasts. One reporter said something like "Hey, we all live in the real world. Do they look 16 to you?" It got me thinking -- I have a milestone birthday coming up that I'm not too excited about (the big five-O). I think I'm going to go by Chinese years and stay in my 40's a bit longer. Last year my sister (http://mommiemarzie.wordpress.com/2007/07/) posted 32 things about herself on her 32nd birthday. I've been trying to think of 50 things about me to post, but somehow I keep thinking of the negative -- like bifocals, chin hairs, hot flashes, saggy boobs, gray hair, and on and on.

I just bought the hexagon pattern at International Quilt Market in Long Beach. It's on my "I really really want to do this!" list. Your's is looking wonderful!

I think you are wonderful! It wouldn't be hard to come up with fifty things! We love you!

Chin hairs must start at an early age in our family--I've been plucking them for years! Well, you've got a week to think of 50 things... good luck!

Your quilt looks awesome! We really do need to get together and have a quilt day! I'd be willing to use one of my two vacation days to do it!

I agree - it is not hard to come up with 50 things aboutYOU! And this will be such a great year - you are camping with your family. We still need a girls get-away to celebrate...

The hexagons look great!
Sewing your hexagons while you are watching the Olympics kills two birds with one stone... 8-)
Ha! I love your first few of your 50 things, negative or not... 8-)
