A Chill in the Air

That's all it takes to get me in the mood for a fire. Gary put a fire log in the dining room fireplace tonight and it looks so good.....love this part of winter. I can't wait for a real wood fire downstairs in the family room.
I quilted up this top I pieced together 2 years ago. It's a full size, but for some reason I made it really long. Don't know what I was thinking. Oh well, there's plenty to tuck in over the pillows.
I cut out these blocks a few weeks ago from a quilt magazine. Then I cleaned my sewing room and put the magazine away....somewhere! I've been looking for over a week and finally found it! Hopefully I can get the top done this weekend.

As the weather gets colder it makes for a perfect time to pull out all the quilts. We still have very nice weather in St. G. Almost quilt time, but not yet.

I love fires in the fireplace! I only remember Mom & Dad lighting fires on Christmas when we were growing up. Was it more often?

I'm impressed with how much sewing you get done! I still need to finish the quilt for Sophie that I started on the last sewing day. Her room is cold and I need to get it done! Maybe this weekend. ha ha ha.

You do seem to get a lot done with work, kids, and quilting. I am so jealous. Love the quilts and glad I am not the ony one who loses things.

I wish we had a fireplace... (It is so nice sitting with one when we visit my cousin...) One day maybe?

Love the quilting you've done there! Lovely! 8-)

There is always something to search for in a sewing room. Funny how things go into hiding...

Happy stitchings!

That will teach you to clean your sewing room.

I have been wanting to have a fire but living in the South, we have to wait a pretty long time. But I have the logs ready and waiting.

We have a fireplace but rarely get to use it here in Florida. I love the flower quilting!
