Hexagon Quilt

I started working on a hexagon quilt a year or so ago and it kinda got buried during the move and other projects.  I've picked it up again and have made good progress.  It's nice having a project with hand sewing that I can work on...like when I watch The Voice.  Why do I always have to be busy or I feel guilty??  Can't just watch TV without something in my hands.
I have a hexagon ruler that makes cutting out the pieces easy as can be.  I just cut a 1-1/2 inch strip of fabric then cut out the hexagon shape with the ruler.  It's a nice way to use up strips of scrap fabric.  As I work on it I wonder how in the world to machine quilt it.  Oh well...guess I'll have plenty of time to think about it.
The Cotton Shop is having their 52nd Anniversary sale this month.  I picked up some quilting thread today for 52% off.  That made it $6.22 a cone which is awesome!  I use it for machine quilting and for sewing.  Since I piece my quilts on a Juki, which goes FAST, I have to have a good, sturdy thread or it will keep breaking.

I love your hexagon quilt. It is so pretty. We were not allowed to sit and watch TV growing up without doing something.

I will have to stock up on some of that thread at this price.
