Flu Shot Blues

What a month it's been.  Got my flu shot a couple of weeks ago and I haven't felt good since.  First it was body aches and chills. Then a head cold, but thankfully that only lasted 3 days.  Thought I was on my way to feeling better when my stomach started acting up.  Not to go into details people really don't want to hear, but things were just running right through me.  Had to be close to the restroom ALL THE TIME.  Fever, chills, and feeling icky.  I've had it for 7 days, but I'm finally feeling better this afternoon (knock on wood!!).
I missed 2 days of work this week, which is not like me at all.  I was so weak and drained (literally) that I had to go to bed for a few days.  I took a pile of quilt magazines to bed with me and didn't even feel good enough to go through one of them.  Not sure if all this is really related to that darn flu shot, but I'm going to think twice before I get it again next year.
Since I'm feeling human again, I decided to help Katelynn make a pillow this afternoon.  She picked out some purple fabric.  She watched as I sewed the sides and top.
She did really well at stuffing it.  Papa had her convinced that the stuffing was cloud poop.  You could see her little mind working that one through!
Then we sewed up the hole.  I stuck the needle through, then she would grab it and pull it tight.  She was so cute when it was done....excited to show her mama when she picked her up.  It's sad that I have more patience with the grandkids for doing things like this.  I wish I would have slowed down, breathed, and enjoyed my kids more when they were little.

So sorry you have felt crappy. Flu shots have never done that to me. Hope it is just a fluke.
