A productive day!!

This is my sister's (Nann) quilt. She did an awesome job. It has a cute border piece. I'll have to post a picture when I get it off the frames. I didn't ask her what design she wanted -- so hope this is okay. I'm hoping to get it done in the next few days so she can bind it in time for her friend's daughter's wedding. The fabric is from my husband's store. It's a mattress/furniture store, but one room is all fabrics. My daughter orders the fabric and has ordered some cute collections. She just got some Amy Butler fabrics in that I have been eyeing.

I cut out 16 dog blocks 1-1/2 years ago. I sewed 2 and then put them away. I decided it was time to get them done. I've been working on them for a week now. It's a Buggy Barn pattern and has 32 pieces in each dog block -- what a pain!! The dog house part isn't too bad.

I cleaned my bedroom closet this morning before heading off to my sewing room. That way I didn't feel so guilty about sewing all day. Why is it that a day sewing flys by and when you work the hours seem to drag?? My husband had the day off too and spent it cleaning the garage. It looks so good.

I am just thrilled to get it quilted. I hate to put pressure on anyone, but it will be great to see all done. Now I have to buy the binding. I have a table runner made from my trial blocks that will be fun to see done up.

THANKS!!

Carrie,

Love seeing the quilts. The dog quilt is just too cute.

Thanks for leaving me a comment. I have read all three of Twilight series and I too fell in love with the vampire. I wish my man was more like the vampire, but I do love him. Thanks for checking out my blog and I will keep an eye out on yours.

I'm jealous that you have had sewing time. I just feel crazy right now. Maybe when/if things settle down more. We should get together and have a girls sewing day since you all haven't had one since I moved back! :)

(Nice blog, btw)
