Feather Quilting

I tried freehand feather quilting with my quilting machine. I've been doodling the feather design for a couple of months now, so decided it was time. I practiced with brown thread on blue fabric first. Then I got brave and did some actual quilting -- on my sister Tracy's quilt. I hate doing a design for the first time on someone else's quilt, but I really like how it is going so far -- whew! It might take me a few days to get it done. I can't wait to post a picture of the finished quilt. I should be working now! I just had to take a break and try some more quilting. Guess that means I am truly addicted to quilting!

Your feathers look absolutely wonderful! The practice ones, and the one's on your sister's quilt!!! You're doing an awesome job! 8-)

I love it! It looks so great. I can't wait for you to finish. I promise that I will sew the binding on and finish it quickly. Thanks for always quilting my quilts!

This is beautiful! How fun to start. I know I have days I can hardly work because I want to be in the other room sewing.

Hey girl! Found your blog-been trying to get you to email. Need an idea for a easy (don't know how to sew; hate machines) quilt for me to get to. Write me an idea....please.
