Hollyhock Dolls

When I was a little girl my Grandma Orme had Hollyhocks on the side of her house.  I remember picking them and sitting at her kitchen table making Hollyhock dolls with toothpicks.  I think Nann and I became pros at getting them to stand on their toothpick legs while holding their parasols.  My daughter, Jamie, has a tree that grows these flowers.  I picked a few of them and made a doll to show Jaycee.  It brought back so many happy memories.

I've been a slacker at quilting this summer.  I'm just not feeling like doing it.  Not at all.  I have quilted some flannel to make quilts to sell in my booth....but that's about it.  I'm hoping my mood will improve and I'll feel like doing it again....someday soon.
