Cowboy Hats and Boots

Last week I came across the Fons and Porter magazine that has the cowboy quilt pattern from a quilt I recently quilted for my friend.  She did rows of hats and boots and left out the cactus.

So I dug through my stash for some cowboy prints and got started making some boots and hats.  I'm making it for a special occasion.....but that's  a secret for now.
I just had a schedule change at work....Yay!  I never thought there would be an a.m. shift opening for the apartment of ladies I work in, but it happened.  One of the a.m. ladies decided to go back to school.  I bid on the job and got it.  I'm soooo excited.  I now have to get up at 5 a.m. and leave by 5:30 to get to work but I'm home by 3 p.m.   The only bad thing is the days off are in the middle of the week, but being home in the evenings makes up for it.  I feel bad because Gary went to afternoons from mornings so we could ride together.  I'm crossing my fingers that a morning shift will come open soon for him so we can be home together at night real soon.  You never know....we could get lucky!

I was hoping you'd update soon:-) I'm amazed at the way you quilt such shapes. I still wonder how your lines are so precise on Rae's quilt. Such talent. Miss talking to you. Pam
