A Little Craftiness!

Is craftiness even a word??  I've been making fabric flowers in my spare time the past couple of days.  I saw a lady do them on a local TV station a while back.  I searched all over for her video, but no luck.  Oh well...I'm willing to try anything from memory or make it my own way.

I rip a piece of fabric anywhere from 2 to 2-1/2 inches.  You want the frayed edge.  Then iron in half.  You tie a knot in the end and then twist and fold, twist and fold, then a dot of hot glue.  (The lady I watched used Tacky glue, but I'm too impatient to wait for that to dry!)  Keep going round and round. You can keep it tight and make and taller flower.  If you go looser it makes a wider, flatter flower.  I made a pink polka dot one into a pin for my Sunday dress.  Jaycee has been gluing them to her headbands.  I just keep making burning my fintertips more and more flowers!

I also made a few wipes bags for my booth at QB.  Crossing my fingers things sell good again this month.  I am getting burned out trying to keep it stocked with fun new things.  Need to take a few days to regroup and then get going again.
Now, I have to tell on Gary.  He made dinner tonight.  It was BBQ hamburgers, hot dogs, and yummy fresh corn on the cob.  Well, I think it would have been yummy if we would have eaten it.  I was cleaning up after dinner and there on the stove was the pot of corn.  He forgot to put it out for dinner!
Here's Jack helping us clean up.  He loves to put the silverware in and out of the dishwasher.

He's looking up at Pappa for his approval.  Such a cute little monkey!

I'll be there Wednesday. I counting on some personal instruction.
